Intercept Law was established in 2002. The lawyers at Intercept Law have the expertise and knowledge to assist clients in understanding legal outcomes in a professional and accurate manner.

The Team
Brian Quinn
Principal Lawyer
Brian was formerly a police officer with NSW Police Force for over 20 years. In 1990 Brian worked as a detective for many years working in the Homicide Unit in South Region involving infamous cases including the Backpacker inquiry as well as the Christopher Flannery disappearance. Brian’s experience in the NSW Police Force has provided him with superior investigative skills and expertise proving to be an asset in his future career as an expert criminal lawyer.
Brian completed a Bachelor of Arts and Laws degree in 2004 at University of New England in 2004. Brian worked with the Department of Public Prosecutions during his practical legal training obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2005.
In 2007, Brian was awarded a Master’s degree in Law and further awarded a Master’s in Applied Laws (Family Law) in 2010.
Brian initially practised in a regional law firm in Bathurst then relocating to the Central Coast running his own private practice and then to become the Principal Lawyer and Director of Intercept Law in 2014. Due to Brian’s vast and extensive experience in Criminal Law and Family Law he is able to provide clients with clear, concise and invaluable legal advice in the most complex issues.
Brian’s wealth of experience in vast criminal law matters ensures that Intercept Law clients are provided with expert legal advice and representation in the Local Court and District Courts with successful outcomes.
Brian regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle) in a wide range of family law disputes.
Brian has also been appointed as an Independent Children’s Lawyer representing children in difficult and complicated parenting disputes by providing compassion and representing their best interests.
Brian’s straight forward approach assists Intercept Law clients in negotiating in the most complex family law matters ensuring they are provided with the most detailed, realistic and practical legal advice with positive outcomes.

Claudine Lopez Quinn
Senior Associate Lawyer
Claudine’s career in law initially started as a paralegal with over 30 years’ experience within large Sydney and Central Coast legal firms. Claudine has significant experience in family law, criminal law, estates, conveyancing, wills, powers of attorney including general litigation matters.
Claudine completed her Bachelor of Laws degree through University of New England in 2021. Claudine was awarded her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice through the College of Law and admitted to the Supreme Court and High Court of Australia in April 2021. Claudine completed her Master of Applied Law (Family Law) in November 2023.
Claudine is committed to ensuring Intercept Law clients are provided with the most up to date family law advice and ensuring they are supported during the most stressful times. Whilst Claudine regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Newcastle, Sydney and Parramatta jurisdictions) she has a great success rate with settling matters quickly and effectively through dispute resolution services.
Claudine has experience in criminal law matters (apprehended violence orders, traffic offences) and attends the Local and District Courts including representing clients in trials and appeals achieving the best possible outcomes.
